The day you had marked in your calendars has come, it’s Employee Appreciation Day! We’ve previously highlighted some ways that you can celebrate the achievements of your employees, from a Thanks Box full of branded goodies, sending them a free lunch, hosting a virtual party or even handing out awards and recognitions!
Making sure to recognize your employees is key to retaining top talent, motivating productivity and creating a better dynamic between management and staff. We decided to put together something for our own employees, find out how we’re celebrating this special day with our team here at Genumark!
PUTTING THE PLAN INTO ACTION
Almost a full year of working from home, we continue to look for ways to build community and boost morale in the workplace. We initially came up with the idea of hosting a virtual coffee break for our employees to meet up and chat about non work related topics! Here are some tips and tricks on hosting the perfect virtual event! Knowing that employee appreciation day was coming up, we decided to combine the virtual coffee break and look for a gift that would work for the event, and be used continuously. That’s how we ended up with a branded mug and hot chocolate bomb!
THE BEAN BUDDIES CONCEPT
We decided to call our virtual event “Bean Buddies”, a play on the idea that we can set time aside and re-establish personal connections over a nice cup of coffee (or hot drink of choice). Working with our design team, we presented the “Bean Buddies” concept to see what kind of visual would set the tone for this gift. Inspired by the classic 40’s aesthetic, and entertaining this idea that you can personify an inanimate object, the look of our concept was born!
ESPRESSO YOUR GRATITUDE
Using drop shipping to send each gift to our employees homes, across the country – we made sure that the surprise arrived in time for employee appreciation day! The response has been incredibly positive, and the team is beyond excited to use their mugs for our “Bean Buddies” events and beyond! We’re thrilled how the whole project came together from ideation to working with our design team, all the way to be delivered to our amazing employees.
