A few months ago, the Genumark Toronto office had a problem. Remember, this was a pre-pandemic problem, when people could lounge in the lunchroom, worry free. It was a safe place to talk and share anecdotes, except in this instance, it became a debate; a trash talking bonanza. The subject?
Who could handle their hot sauce the best?
Branding Hot Sauce For any Occasion
It is a classic debate that friends often have with each other, usually ending in a challenge… so that is exactly what we decided to do! We reached out to our friends at Get Sauced who sent us their entire line of hot sauces, going from either end of the Scoville Scale. We rounded up the lunch room trash talkers and brought a few more brave volunteers to participate in our first Hot Sauce Challenge!

The Challenge
Since we didn’t know what to expect, we made sure we had plenty of “stop the pain” supplies on hand. If you are thinking of running your own workplace hot sauce challenge, we recommend the following:
- Water
- Milk
- Antacid elixir
- Bread
- Honey glazed donuts (following in Chef Gordon Ramsay’s footsteps)
- Limes (again, we trust in Gordon Ramsay)
We tossed wings in the hot sauces and served them up to our victims contestants!
