During this difficult time we thought we would cheer people up by sharing some of the positive stories our clients, suppliers and friends have been a part of. It truly is amazing to see how businesses have transitioned from what normally do to help their communities. KNP HEADWEAR

With their vast resources KNP were able to source some high quality masks and donated 2,000 of them to the Yee Hong Centres for Geriatric Care in the GTA.

LOBLAWS

President’s Choice Children’s Charity fund 72 million meals for children in schools. Those schools are currently closed so Loblaws have provided $10 million to help Boys and Girls Clubs fight kids’ hunger in their communities. They are also giving $5 million in gift cards to food banks for food and other essentials.

PIZZA PIZZA

Their event team has been redeployed during the COVID19 crisis to deliver over 20,000 slices of pizza to community members at shelters, hospitals and health care centres.

REDWOOD CLASSICS

Their dedicated volunteer skeleton crew answered the #MGH1000masks challenge and made 1000+ masks in less than a week!

Founder and President, Kathy Cheng, says, “It is a privilege to give back to Toronto’s hospitals. Although our factory is shut down, we feel an obligation to do whatever we can to give back to the city that has given us so much.”

CANOPY GROWTH

Usually a producer of cannabis, Canopy Growth has transitioned to making hospital equipment such as face masks, gloves and body suits. An article by David George-Cosh from BNN Bloomberg explains the crossover in more depth.
